The Fundación Galicia Europa presents its 2018 Activity Report
Santiago de Compostela, 31 July 2019. In 2018, the Galicia Europa Foundation celebrated its 30th anniversary since its creation as an entity of the Galician public sector. With the aim of fulfilling the commitments to defend Galician interests in Brussels, to inform about the EU in Galicia and to promote awareness about the European project, the Foundation organized different activities that are reflected in the
Report of Activities 2018.
Especially relevant were the 17 official visits to Brussels of political and technical representatives of our community to the European capital, the participation in 10 forums of debate in Brussels and the support to the attendance of Galician representatives to 23 acts of the European Committee of the Regions.
In addition, a total of
140 news items were published on our website and the
Brexit Galician Forum was launched, for which its own online portal was developed. In the field of training, we continued with our specialisation programme in community financing
TecEuropa, in which 40 technicians from the public sector and the third sector participated, two courses were given within the framework of the
LIDERA project and work continued as partners of the
Eurocidade Chaves-Verín 2020.
This year we continued to support Galician participation in European projects, publishing 45 calls for European funding, participating in 18 partner searches and hosting in Brussels five meetings of community projects with Galician participation in the areas of health, training, digitisation and energy efficiency.
