Brussels, 20 October 2010. - Recently the European Commission ended the campaign “What social Europe can do for you”. As final act, after travelling across Europe for two years, there was a forum. The main goal was to make Europe closer to the citizens, particularly in social matters. Following this objective, the campaign visited Bialystok in Poland and Dijon in France among many other cities. Last June was the turn to stop in Galicia where different seminars and events were held during two days in Santiago de Compostela. These events were hosted together by the Xunta, Fundación Galicia Europa and the Commission. The conferences were about different social affairs.
The event was a success and was mentioned as one of the top five best events among the 60 that took place during the two-year campaign.
