Compostela Monumental paid tribute to the Fundación Galicia Europa
Santiago, 22 October 2010. The Association of traders, businesses and professionals from the Historic Old Town of Santiago de Compostela paid tribute yesterday to the Fundación Galicia Europa for its support in different matters related to small businesses and to the implementation of European regulations in Galicia and particularly in Santiago de Compostela.

The Foundation works hand to hand to organize The 3rd National Congress of the Confederación Española de Cascos Históricos, which will be hosted by Compostela Monumental.
The participants in the event discussed issues as the implementation of new European regulations that will affect to the traditional businesses, and a possible collaboration with other similar European associations.
Jesús Gamallo, Director of the Fundación Galicia Europa was present in the ceremony that took place in the Hotel Monumento San Francisco.
During this ceremony the regional ministeries for Culture, Employment and Commerce were awarded with an especial mention for encouraging and supporting traditional businesses and for promoting of Santiago’s image outside our frontiers. Compostela Monumental also paid tribute to the editors of two of the main newspapers in Galicia (El Correo Gallego and La Voz de Galicia).
