Galicia takes part in the Open Doors Day

Brussels, 11 May 2015. – Fundación Galicia Europa (FGE) participated in the 24º edition of the Open Doors Day organised by the Committee of the Regions (CoR) representing Galicia. The Open Doors Day is a festive day organised by the European institutions in order to give citizens the opportunity to get to know how the EU works on the Europe Day.

Galicia placed a stand on the fifth floor of the CoR together with other 40 regions and cities, which informed visitors of their own culture, history and tourism. The FGE team informed visitors about Galicia, its history, culture, language and touristic places; highliting the importance of the St. James’ Way.

As the celebration of the day of Galician literature (Día das Letras galegas) is close, the FGE also informed visitors about Galician language and literature, giving information about the most prolific and well-known Galician writers.
