Previous projects: Eco-innova and EMPRENDE

ECO-INNOVA is an international project aimed to create a transnational structure to report, advise, promote and develop eco-innovation in SMEs, and to support the creation and start-up of eco-innovative SMEs in the Atlantic Area. This initiative, focussed on cooperation, investment and technical assistance for SME"s, was approved under the second call for proposals of the Atlantic Area European Territorial Cooperation Programme, an instrument of the cohesion policy for the programming period 2007-2013, financed by the European Commission through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The partners of the project are the following:

• Concello de Ourense (Galicia, Spain)
• ACIBTM – In.Cubo: Associação para o Centro de Incubação de Base Tecnológica do Minho (North of Portugal)
• Fundación Galicia Europa (Galicia, Spain)
• ADRAT -Associação de Desenvolvimento da Região do Alto Tâmega (North of Portugal)
• The Centre for Research in Futures and Innovation of University of Glamorgan (Wales)
• Bordeaux Productic (Aquitaine, France)

The project has a duration of 35 months and it will be implemented during years 2010, 2011 and 2012. Its total budget is around 1,.4 Million € with a ERDF co-financing rate of 65% (0,9 Million €).
